A fun and squishy garter stitch shawl.

Kajo is a playful shawl worked in garter stitch. It has lots of fun stripes, short rows and zigzag patterns. And you even get to throw a dice to decide some of the colors. The pattern has both helpful guides on how much yarn you should have left after certain points to make sure you don’t run out at the end and schematics to show the direction each section is worked in. The shawl is finished off with an i-cord bind off with playful loops on the bottom edge of the shawl.

About choosing colors
Choose your favorite fingering weight yarn in three colors, one skein each. I’d recommend choosing two colors that can be faded from light to dark and let the third one be a color pop with good contrast to the first two. Speckles, semisolids and solids are excellent.

One size, large.

Yarn
Merino Single (100 % SW merino, 400 yds/366 m/100 g) in three colors, 1 skein each.

US 5 (3.75 mm) circular needle, 40’’/100 cm long, or needles that give you the right gauge.
