A simple pattern for a pair of soft and cosy socks made to be worn directly on the skin. Fits well in winter boots, and the wool keeps your feet nice and dry even in warmer weather. The socks are worked top-down and includes a heel flap technique, but feel free to work the heel the way that feels best to you. Pattern can also be worked bottom-up for those who prefer.

Sizes are approximate. Size 38-39 is made after my own foot, which measures 24.5 cm in length. The leg of the sock is made to accommodate my thick calves.

Suggested yarns provide nice and soft socks, which do not itch, but any other yarn with the correct gauge will do nicely. I’m a rather loose knitter, so if you need to use bigger needles to achieve gauge feel free to do so.

I use 2 skeins for MC and less than 1 skein for CC. Feel free to use any colors you want!
