The #1 winner in Cherry Tree Hill’s first Design Contest of 2009. These spectacular mitts are one of the very few we’ve seen with the balletic, bridal finger loop. This detail alone would be enough to recommend them (it elongates and adds even more grace to the hand), but the pattern is wonderful and fascinating. Instructions are given separately for the left and right mitts, right down to the charts; the wrist portion is knit sideways, joined, and then stitches picked up from each side to work (in the round) the hand and the cuff. Lighthearted, elegant, and lovely. Gauge given is over palm pattern on 3.75mm/US5 needles.
