Finished Size: 23” (58.5 cm) wide and 70” (178 cm) long, after blocking, not including fringe.

Yarn: La Lana Wools Forever Random Blends (60% wool, 40% mohair; 81 yd (74m)/ 2 oz (57) g): Faerie Queen, 15 skeins.

Needles: Size 10½ (6.5mm). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge. You may also find it helpful to use a 32” (80-cm) or longer circular needle so the weight of the project can rest in your lab as it grows.

Notions: Markers (m, optional); tapestry needle; size J/10 (6-mm) crochet hook for applying fringe; tapestry needle.

Gauge: 14 sts and 18 rows = 4” 10 cm) in St st. Each entrelac rectangle measures about 3½“ (6.5 cm) wide on the diagonal (at right angles to the sides of the piece being worked).

Notes:

• Gauge can be measured on an ordinary St st swatch at least 4” (10 cm) square. However, once you have completed several tiers, check the size of the finished rectangles in case you need to adjust needle size.
• Slip stitches as if to purl (pwise) with yarn in back, unless directed otherwise.
• You may find it helpful to use a stitch marker at the end of every section to keep them distinct, but remove the markers from the previous tier as you encounter them.
