Here’s how to crochet the shoes:

After step 14 you crochet the following:
--> step 14B would be as following: 16sc, repeat 4x(2sc, sc2tog). =28
--> Then you should crochet step 15 as it is written down in the pattern.
--> step 15 = 24st, instead of 20.
--> step 15B: 16sc, repeat 4x(sc2tog). =20
--> Then continue to work on step 16.

Size of finished item:
When made with the described yarn and hook size,
Mario will become about 35cm/14” tall.
