I worked out a totally new lace-pattern for this top, a wave and lavender pattern that embellishes the hem of the body as well as the sleeves.
As I had the great opportunity of going to the greates lavender garden of them all, Provence in France, I brought the top along with me for the photo-shooting. And, of course, also for wearing:))

Construction
This sweet and easy-to-wear top offers lace and scalloped edges on the hem of the body as well as the slleves. The body is worked bottom up to the armholes where work is divided and back and front are worked flat in separate pieces. The shoulders are worked together using the 3-needle bind-off method (or grafting, if you prefer). Stitches are picked up around the armhole openings and sleeves are worked top down and in the round. No seaming, and no difficult sts!
The sleeves could easily be modified for an elbow or bracelet length.

Sizes
The top is supposed to be on the relaxed side, so please allow some ease for a great fit!
Finished bust circumferences are: XX-small: 31.5/ X-small:35.5/SSmall: 39.5/ Medium: 43.5/ Large:47.5 /X-Large: 51/ XX Large: 55” .
The sample is worked in size XX-Small:31.5”.

Materials
Yarn: You can use any fingering weight yarn that knits up to gauge.
I used Dunlin from Strik-design. This blend of linen and cotton comes in skeins of 50gr/1.76oz and 190m/208 yards. You need 4/5/5/6/6/7/7 of this specific yarn to work the top.
Needles size 3mm/US2.5: a circular needle, 80cm/34” for the lower body, straight (or circular needles for the upper body), a set of dpns (or a circular needle) for the sleeves, a circular needle 2.5mm/US1.5 for the neckline. Please note that the needle size is a suggestion only. You need to work to gauge to achieve the correct measurements as given in the pattern. Notions: removable stitch-markers, separate holders, tapestry needle, blocking tools.

Gauge 24 sts and 36 rounds/rows in stockinette sts = 10x10cm/4x4”.

The pattern
All measurements are in cm’s as well as in inches.
The lace-patterns are charted as well as written out round by round.
All necessary stitch-counts are given. There is a schematic.
Guidelines for modifying the top for waist-shaping or an A-line are given.

Skills needed
You need basic knitting skills: casting on, picking up sts. Working a simple lace-pattern according to charts or written instructions. The shoulders are worked together using the 3-needle bind off method, but these could also be grafted (or seamed together if you prefer).
