Pattern Details:

Skill Level: Beginner Knitter to Intermediate

Materials:

Beret: 1 skein Serenity (85% Wool, 15% Nylon, 150 yards / 100 g approx.)

Samples shown in colors Paprika and Go with the Flow.

Scarf: 2 skeins Serenity (85% Wool, 15% Nylon, 150 yards / 100 g approx.)

Color blocked sample shown in colors Polar Bear and Sunshine.

Needles:

Beret: US 8 (5 mm) 16” / 40 cm circular needle or longer for the magic loop technique

US 8 (5 mm) double pointed needles, optional

US 7 (4.5 mm) 16” / 40 cm circular needle or one needle size smaller than gauge needle

Scarf: US 10 (6 mm) 16” / 40 cm circular or straight needles, or size needed to obtain gauge

Cable needle, optional for both designs

Gauge:

Beret: 4 sts and 5 rows = 1” / 2.5 cm in stockinette stitch on larger needles listed for beret, blocked

Scarf: 2.5 sts and 3.5 rows = 1” / 2.5 cm in stockinette stitch on needles listed for scarf, blocked

Finished Size:

Beret: Fits average adult head up to 22” / 55 cm

Scarf: (blocked) - approx. 11.5-12” / 29-30.5 cm wide (in between cable sections) and 70.5” / 179 cm long
