Let’s Knit On!
Fingerless Mitts
This is a good “first pair of mitts” pattern for beginning knitters, incorporating ribbing, knit and purl stitches, a bit of construction and lots of practice knitting in the round with double pointed needles. The mitts match the Let’s Knit On! First Hat pattern. Enjoy!

Materials
1 skein of Malabrigo, Rios yarn, or other worsted weight yarn.
Size 8 circular knitting needles, in a 16” length. Size 8 double pointed needles, 6” long. Stitch marker. Yarn needle.
Gauge measures 4 1/2 stitches per inch in stockinette stitch. The mitts measure approximately 7” in circumference x 9” long. They are knit from the cuffs to the fingertips and sized for women’s medium size. Increase or reduce by 4 stitches to alter the size.
