Levenwick is a top-down, compound raglan cardigan worked in Reverse Stockinette Stitch. The gentle curves of the well-known Shetland “Old Shale” motif accent the collar, front opening, and pocket. Levenwick is the name of a small settlement of houses in Shetland, smaller than even a tiny village. It was here, beside a beautiful crescent of white sand beach, that designer Gudrun Johnston was born.

CONSTRUCTION

  • Cardigan is worked flat in one piece from the top down.
  • Upon completion of yoke shaping, sleeve stitches are held on waste yarn. Sleeves will be worked in the round after body is completed.
