This cute topper is very quick to make up, and I have simplified this design to the utmost. I have pictures to illustrate the process, but it is really very simple!! The pattern calls for Red Heart Yarn, available at any major department store. You could make two hats for sure with one skein, and a skein sells for just over $3.

You could make ties on the ends, but for children who are moving about, ties are not recommended! Therefore, I have included instructions for a button closure.
