This pattern comes with charts and full instructions for 2 sizes. The men’s size is an average size beanie. The women’s size fits my head, which is definitely on the small side so would fit a large child or a teen/woman with a small head.

I have also provided suggestions for a very large men’s hat and a smaller child’s hat.
