Machine Knit Pussy Hats
3 Versions on the Bulky Machine

This pattern is a machine knit version of the Pussy (Kitty) Hat. This started out as a way for me to make hats quickly for friends and family that wanted to participate in the Women’s March on April 21st, 2017.

The pattern has 3 options for construction.

1. Machine knit base - Machine knit rib with a ribber bed on a bulky knitting machine
2. Machine knit base - Rolled hem with a standard bed, on the bulky
3. Machine knit base - Hand ribbed with a standard bed, on the bulky

This is a one size fits most hat. You can vary the size by adding or subtracting stitches cast on. You can also vary the size of the hat by using a looser or tighter tension. Those instructions are not included with the pattern.

What you will need:
Equipment: Bulky knitting machine with ribber for ribbed version, without for rolled, and hand ribbed versions.

Accessories: Yarn darning needle to sew up the sides.
Double Eyed Needle to transfer stitches
Ribber coupler
Standard coupler
Cast on comb
Weights
Size 7 circular knitting needle, or double points, for the hand ribbed version only.

This pattern takes about 100 yards to knit a hat.

This is my first pattern, and has only been “test knit” by me, so please let me know if you find any mistakes, or areas that are unclear.
