Maibaum

ERRATUM
In der Legende der 1. Strickschrift hat sich ein Fehler eingeschlichen: das Punkt-Symbol bedeutet: Rückreihe: RECHTS stricken
Die Faltenpartie wird also kraus rechts gestrickt!
Entschuldigung!

The pattern is now available at http://www.dibadu.de/Maibaum-by-crocodile!

Do you own a beautiful unique, expensive skein of yarn or want to buy one?

Are you looking for an idea, what to do with it?

Here it is: Maibaum (maypole)!

Call it a crescent scarf, a shawlette or a collar -- use only one 100g skein with 365m (400 yards) or 400m (437 yards) and make yourself a piece of knitted jewelry.

Maibaum has a border with very simple lace inserts between pleated parts as a special element. The inner part is constructed with short rows also with a simple lace pattern..

You may ask about the name -- as the shawlette is knitted beginning with the border, you will start with a lot of stitches. If you use markers during the cast-on for better counting, it will remember the ribbon-decorated crown of a maypole…

And finally, the pattern will be presented at the Leipziger Wolle-Fest at May 25 and 26!

Later, the pattern will be available at www.dibadu.de
