In Field Guide No. 12: Big Joy, Jen Geigley designed a cozy cocoon—this sweater knits up in a snap.

The mix of texture, proportion, and basic technique make this project fun as a knitter’s first sweater.

In 11 sizes to fit bust sizes 37 to 60 inches.

The Main Squeeze Cardigan is not sold as a single pattern.

The pieces are joined, and the yoke is worked in one piece to the end, with raglan shaping. Patch pockets are knit and sewn on, and the front bands and neckband are worked.
-- Underarm stitches are grafted together using Kitchener stitch; if you prefer, you may use 3-Needle BO.
