Is it weather for ducks with you too?
April showers maybe?
Whether the weather is of whether the weather isn’t
He’s a duck to suit all occasions
And it’s Aprils #freebeefridayknits!

I’ve stated that there are two sizes available although the pattern only gives the yarn etc for the smaller one

The other I tried with Cascade yarn and Drops Alpaca together to see if I could make a more life-size duck - I used 4.5 mm needle for this larger one

The smaller one I’ve used the alpaca yarn doubled up with beautiful Fyberspates Gleem yarn - a real gem -
… you’ll also need a pair of 6mm toy eyes and toy filling….

My mallad is knitted (almost) in one piece joining as you go - in fact the only part that’s sewn separate to the main are the duck feet and beak…

AND - there is also a YouTube video illustrating how to make up your duck because you may find it a little tricky to make up from just the written instructions - so I’ve created another mini YouTube tutorial for that and how to make it look as real as can be (given it’s made from yarn and not fur!)
