I designed this shawl after a trip to Marblehead, MA, with special memories of lovely Crocker Park. Marblehead Shawl begins with spaced columns suggesting the magnificent cliffs. The columns end with a rolling wave-like pattern interspersed with garter stitch eyelets, recalling the gentle harbor waves. The shawl is worked from the top center back down and outward, without a center spine or panel. The shawl is shaped as a shallow crescent.

Directions are provided for adjusting size.

Note: The color changes in the model are due to use of a gradient yarn. This pattern does not contain instructions for working color changes.

I added a second version, same stitch patterns, but in a half hexagon shape. Please see project page for yardage and gauge.
