It’s easy to lengthen or shorten the sleeves in my patterns for your personal length. For the majority of arms this is a good length.

My design ideas: I love designing to knitter’s requests. Sometimes these requests are a desire or dream that might feel that it will never be realised so they let me know just in passing. Or sometimes I ask a knitter what they are looking for and sketch it down to design when I can. I have a very long and ever-changing list!

This v neck cardigan was exactly one of those requests; a passing comment on a wish as the knitter chose the yarn to knit the Philippa Jumper. There are lots of different shapes that we all need in our wardrobe, or maybe that’s just me! I love a comfy hand knit jumper on winter days to make me feel cosy and warm, like a hug. And then on spring days I love a neat v neck cardigan as the weather decides whether it will be cool or warm, because wool is perfect at regulating heat. In fact, I wear wool all year because the Purl &Jane studio is always cool, no matter what the temperature is outside, and so if it is a warm day outside and cool in the studio my handknits are perfect at regulating my temperature. So I’m planning to wear this cardigan all year round!
