MARIPOSA MITTENS - are a lovely, soft, cozy, warm pair of mittens made from a bulky weight yarn, consisting of 70% Mohair, 30% Canadian Fine Wool which has been hand dyed in the colour Wildflowers (B0156) exclusively for Mariposa Woolen Mills. They only use 139 grams of bulky weight yarn to make one pair of mittens. The textured design on the frontside is easy to do and creates a lot of interest and pops of colour to showcase the hand dyed yarn. They will not knit up exactly the same but they will match nonetheless. They are knit seamless, from the bottom up, all in one piece construction. Great for gift giving as well. Happy Knitting!

This pattern/kit was a collaboration. The pattern was designed by Christina Pridie (seamless knitwear designer). The yarn was hand dyed and processed by the team at the Mariposa Woolen Mills which is owned and managed by Ellen Edney.
