Melvina is a rectangular lace stole knit on a bias; perfect for showcasing gradient or color-changing yarns with an unexpected diagonal.

When choosing yarn, make note of the weight, and how many repeats you have done when you get to half of the yarn. This should be easy if you use two skeins; if you are using one, I highly recommend using a lifeline if you’re planning to play yarn-chicken for the last repeat before you start charts G and H. (I say this in the notes of the pattern, but thought I’d reiterate it here.)
