The little Merbaby pattern was created with little ones in mind! They are perfect for little hands, and it comes with a story! The hair also provides great texture for little ones to play with, much like the tentacled octopus toys.

This pattern includes detailed written instructions, as well as 16 pictures depicting the more complicated instructions. It works up pretty quickly, and will make a wonderful baby gift! Make an ordinary little doll, or turn it into a fun rattle for little ones to enjoy!

You should know how to crochet in rows AND rounds, how to increase and decrease, and basic amigurumi knowledge. Aside from your yarns, hooks, and stuffing, you will need a rattle insert no larger than 1.5 inches round. Smaller rattle is fine. You will just need extra stuffing.
