Mireille Opera Scarf
This scarf turned out so pretty that I thought it would be fitting for an elegant night out. So I named after a French opera called Mireille by Charles Gounod based on Frederic Mistral’s poem Mireio. It is a story about a young rich girl who falls in love with peasant named Vincent. Of course Mireille’s father is out raged and goes after Vincent. Later Mireille sets out to find Vincent and becomes sick from of her journeys and tragically
dies in his arms, of course. Parts of this scarf can be somewhat tricky, but the main lace stitch is easy to catch onto. The pattern contains both written out and charted instructions.
