This top down hat is a wonderful “one-skein” project. Worked in stockinette stitch and mock cable rib, it is great for beginners! The finished hat measures about 21” unstretched and is a fun and funky hat.

The sample shown is made out of Fibra Natura’s medium weight “Mermaid” yarn. “Mermaid” is a cotton blend and has 125 yards in every 50 gram skein. To complete this hat to the finished size you will need approximately 125 yards (1 skein) of this soft and supple yarn.

Skill Level: Intermediate

Needles: The needles used with this pattern are US 8 (5.0mm) double points and US 8 (5.0mm) 16” circulars, to obtain a gauge of 20 stitches over 4 inches.
