This tube scarf is knitted very loosely on large needles, because the mohair fills in even though it is a laceweight yarn, and creates a lovely gossamer fabric. A special loose bind off is suggested, so that the tube could be slipped on over the head and worn as a cowl, which is another option to wearing it as a scarf.

The yarn is the ultimate in luxury. Just look at the colors and how richly it takes to the dye. The ombre shading is gorgeous for this type of simple pattern.
What makes this really special is the yarn used.
