For those participating in the knitalong:

All are welcome and the knitalong is free to join. However, you must use Artyarns yarn to participate.
Recommended yarn: Artyarns Regal Silk and Merino Cloud (1 skein of each is 1 kit, or 2 skeins of each is 2 kits)
The Mosaic Jacket shown in Aqua Blue Mosaic Kit, uses a speckled yarn (in Merino Cloud) with a contrast color in Regal Silk. I used just 1 skein of each for the size S/M/L that is shown. S/m/l is one kit (46” around) But if you wear it longer than 18” top of shoulder to bottom hem, purchase 2 kits. 1x/2x size is 2 kits. If you need the larger size, you will require 2 skeins of each yarn.

The Mosaic Poncho or Shawl (shown below in Mosaic Purple) is easier to construct and one size fits all with 1 kit.
It is knitted as a rectangle that is 21-1/2” x 58” then a tiny seam makes it a poncho.

How to join the knitalong? It is best to do this after you have already purchased the yarn and have it in hand. Click “Cast On” on the top right corner of this pattern page, to create your project. Upload the photo of your Artyarns yarn to your project page. (This must be a photo you have taken yourself, not one you have found online.) Please fill out the yarn information. Both yarn types are required and they must both be Artyarns yarns. On or about May 25, I will send out Part 1 of the pattern to everyone who has created a project page. When you complete Part 1, post a photo, and I will send out Part 2. There is no deadline to complete the knitalong, just a deadline to post Part 1 photo by August 31. All other parts can be completed at your leisure.

A discussion group has been started to discuss yarn options, colors, etc. here.

If you are unsure about how Artyarns knitalongs work, or are new to Ravelry, this tutorial may be helpful.
