This is a set of two cowls, one sized for an adult (“Mother”) and one sized for a kid (“Daughter”).

Here at home, my knitting is often coveted by my older daughter, who is always curious to know who is the intended recipient of the garment on my needles. That made me think, “what if I make one cowl for her… and one for me?”, and that’s how this set of cowls became the “Mother and Daughter cowls”.

The cowls are knitted in the round, using two balls of sock yarn. Both have the same construction, varying only in number of stitches and lace pattern repeats to fit their different sizes. The lace pattern is beautiful, yet simple, and the bobbles give the cowls volume and a special touch.

Happy knitting!
