Mr Toad
Number three pattern from my Wind in the Willows Series.

And I’ve tried to create mine as I think of him: exuberant, loving the opulence and the extravagance but at the same time ever so slightly coy and a little vulnerable perhaps?

My Mr. Toad definitely loves to dress-up in something cat-walky; something ostentatious and flamboyant - how ironic that he’ll, at some point in his story, have to wear the clothes of a washer-woman!!

Mr. Toad is knitted, as all my designs - flat, join as you go and with many how-to images to accompany the pattern.

I’ve used Drops Sky together with Drops Kid Silk for the subtle colour blends but you may - if you choose - decide to knit him with your own choice yarn.
You’ll also need to source some 12mm gold or green cat eyes, I bought mine from Ebay but also try suncatchercrafteyes.com

And speaking of green! - If you follow my Instagram account @dotpebbles_knits - you’ll have seen this toad knitted as a frog - I’ve listed the colours I used for Froggie Mercury too!
