I love to knit cottony things in the warm weather and always have a simple project handy for those “knitting minutes”, or times when I just want to knit something simple.

Plymouth, Fantasy Naturale yarn is my cotton yarn of choice for tableware. It holds up to machine washing and drying and comes out like new every time.

Each skein will make 8 mug rugs. Two skeins will make one plate rug and two mug rugs. Each Mug Rug is approximately 4 1/2” x 41/2. The Placemat is approximately 13 1/2” wide x 15” long.

Size 7 knitting needles in any style, straights or circs.
The pattern is knit flat in linen stitch with my special selvage edges, which make a very neat finish.

These projects are perfect for sweaty cups and glasses in the summertime.
Knit them to match your decor or any party theme. They also make great hostess gifts. Knit them for your holiday festivities.

Have fun and enjoy your summer!
