Inspired by Monet’s famous painting, Ninfee (the Italian name for Water lily) is a simple and colorful shawl with a classical triangular construction, to wrap around your neck or to drape over your shoulders.
The garter stitch texture is interspersed by stripes of “Water Lily stitches”, the name I gave for this stitch that is a variation of Aster stitch.

GAUGE after blocking: 23 stitches x 40 rows = 10 cm x 10 cm/ 4 x 4 inches in garter stitch

FINISHED SIZE after blocking 105 x 45 cm / 41 x 17.75 inches
The shawl is adjustable for any gauge and yarn; this will only affect the dimensions of the finished object. If you wish to obtain a larger shawl with the same gauge that I used, you can use 2 skeins of same yarn and work more repetitions (suggested in the instructions).

MATERIALS: One skein of fingering weight yarn 400 m (437 yards) / 100 g (sample: Manos del Uruguay Alegria, color Agave)
3,5 mm / US 4 needle or size to obtain gauge
2 stitch markers
