Inspired by the breathtaking Aurora Borealis, “Northern Lights” is a hat worked in the round, from the bottom up. Perfect for keeping cosy in winter climates, the slip stitch ribbing is added afterwards and joined to the main part as it is worked, ensuring a snug fit. Hues of purple, blue and green create a striking piece, topped with an optional pom pom for added fun!

One 100gm ball is all that is needed to make the hat, using a 3.50mm hook. Finished measurements - 56cms around x 26cms long, excluding pompom.

Skills required:

trebles, raised double trebles and triple trebles, raised puff stitches, slip stitch ribbing.
