Northern Summer Shawl
From the pattern info:
Traditional Shetland stitch patterns are interspersed with areas of stocking stitch, and a lovely rhythmical edging is added last. Wider than it is tall, it’s a great shawl to wear bundled around as a neck scarf. A perfect fall knit.
Approx 5 - 6 balls of Jamieson’s Shetland Spindrift were used. The yarn is called ‘2-ply Jumperweight’ but is a 4-ply/fingering weight.
The pattern contains both written instructions and charts.
Erratum in the written instructions, line 24 should read:
K3, slm, YO; P1, pm; @ssp, YO, p3, YO, p2tog; rep from @ to one st before marker; pm, p1; slm, p1, slm; p1, pm; @ssp, YO, p3, YO, p2tog; rep from @ to one stitch before marker; pm, p1; YO, slm, k3
(Where @ = asterisk. The chart is fine. Apologies!)
Finished shawl measures approximately 21”/53cm by 57”/144cm.
