A lacy cowl is perfect for changeable weather – you can cover your head if it drizzles, your ears if they are cold, or just pile it around your neck to keep off the chill. And no matter which way you wear it, you still look great!

Oblique is easy to knit in this ‘soft enough to wear next to your face’ yarn. Wider at the neck edge than the top to give you some fabric to tuck into your jacket, the shaping is achieved by changing needle sizes rather than changing the stitch pattern. Simple and stylish!

1/19 This is a reboot of the original pattern with new yarn, and slightly different gauge.
