October is worked from the top down, making the sweater easily adjustable for a customized fit.
This is a very simple sweater that requires no finishing other than weaving in ends, and would make a great “first sweater” project for a beginner; for more experienced knitters, this is your “I want to knit but I don’t want to have to think about it too much” kind of project.

For the best fit, make the size that most closely matches or is slightly smaller than your actual chest circumference.

The waist is moderately shaped; the shaping can be omitted for a more casual fit.
