Here is a beautiful way to use that gradient yarn you’ve been coveting! This pattern uses DK weight yarn and traditional, top-down Raglan shaping, so it is very approachable. The show-stopping lace ruffles do the heavy lifting but are really quite easy to work.

Sizes: To fit an actual chest measurement of:
3 month: 16”/ 40.5 cm
6 month: 17/ 43 cm

Needles: Size US 6/4 mm, size US 5/3.75 mm, and size US 7/4.5 mm circular needles with a long, 40”/100 cm cable.

Gauge: 22 sts and 26 rows = 4”/10 cm in Stockinette stitch on medium-size needles, or size needed to obtain gauge, one size smaller, and one size larger.

Notions: Waste yarn (for provisional cast on), 4 locking stitch markers, 3 - 12 medium-sized (.75”/2 cm) buttons, blocking mat, blocking wires (optional), t-pins, and tapestry needle.

Techniques: Provisional cast on, knitting in the round, picking up stitches, basic lace techniques and chart reading.
