This stunning shawl is a combination of stockinette and garter stripes. It’s knit in 2 separate wedges with picked up stitches, making it seamless. (No sewing!) The first wedge is knit from bottom up, and the second from side to side. Short rows along the bottom edge of the shawl create depth, giving this shawl an extra detail not found in most v- shaped shawls. Add pompoms and you’ve got yourself a head-turning accessory.

Yarn: Approx 800 yards of fingering weight yarn. Sample shown in Old Rusted Chair, Single Sock, C1, Bijou, C2, Get Off My Cloud, 100% Superwash Merino.

Dimensions: (AFTER BLOCKING) 75 inch wingspan, 17 inch depth (not including pompoms).

Needles: US size 4.

Notions: Tapestry needle, pompom maker.

Gauge: 40 stitches by 44 rows is 4 inches in garter on US size 4 needles.
