This an original pattern designed by myself to make a crocheted Owl block.

Designed for the intermediate crocheter, this pattern assumes you already know how to crochet.

This graph can be worked in either single crochet or tunisian simple stitch. You will need to know how to crochet graphs and how to do colour changes in graphs.

Stitches used - chain, single crochet, slip stitch, tunisian simple stitch.

The pattern includes 4 pages of instructions with photos and chart design.

Pattern only, not the finished owl block.

Finished Owl block measures approximately 20 cm x 20 cm (8” x 8”).

Materials Requirements

8 ply/DK yarn in small quantites of –
White
Mid blue
Light blue
Mint
Black
Brown
4.5 mm (Size 7) hook for single crochet
5 mm (US Size 8/H, UK Size 6) Tunisian hook for Tunisian crochet
Large eyed needle

The finished block can be finished off with a round of single crochet or any other edging stitch.

Several blocks can be made and joined together to create a blanket, using either all owl blocks or a pattern of owl blocks and plain coloured blocks.
