Paddy is a friendly, supersoft pig who loves eating, giving cuddles and playing with his friends. He also enjoys lying in the sun provided it’s not too hot.

The reason why Paddy is so soft is that he’s made with velvety chenille chunky yarn and filled with polyfiber stuffing. He’s very proud of his softness and he doesn’t miss any occasion to let people know of it by offering free cuddles.

Paddy is relatively easy to make and requires minimal sewing (you’ll only need to sew the body to the head). The other body parts are either crocheted straight from the body (ears) or crocheted beforehand and attached by crochet as you go (arms and legs).

The pattern is written in American terminology.

Skills required:
• magic ring (or sloppy slip knot)
• single crochet in the round,
• increase and decrease,
• working in back loops / front loops only,
• Single crochet through both thicknesses

Materials Needed
• James C. Brett Flutterby chunky yarn in main colour (pink), trousers colour and sweater colour. You can use any other type of yarn provided you change the hook accordingly.

• Polyfiber stuffing
• 10 or 12 mm safety eyes (or smaller of you use DK yarn)
• Small amounts of black DK yarn for nostrils and eyebrows
• Yarn needle
