This pattern is part of a pattern line that is very special to me. My mom, a breast cancer survivor, picked the stitches and told me what she wanted in a hat. 8 fsc = 2 inches
8 dc x 4 rows = 2 inches

Hook – H or size needed to meet gauge
Tapestry needle
Buttons (optional for band)

sk: skip
st: stitch
sp: space
sl st: slip stitch
fsc: foundation single crochet
sc: single crochet

FPtr: front post treble crochet
fdc: foundation double crochet
