Materials Needed:
90-150 yards #1 Fingering weight 75% Marino/25% Nylon sock yarn by Big Sky Yarn Co. in Powder Room, Rosewood, Bramble berry, and Razzleberry Pie
3mm hook, or hook needed to obtain gauge
Yarn needle
Scissors
Stitch markers

Stitches Used:
ch = chain
sc = single crochet
hdc = half double crochet
dc = double crochet
3dc cluster = dc3tog in same st
BPsc = back post single crochet
BPhdc = back post half double crochet
st/sts = stitch/stitches
sp/sps = space/spaces

Additional Terms:
Working in the 3rd Loop of hdc – Instructions: Look at the top of the stitch, and locate the sideways “V”, bend the stitch to look at the back and you should see another “V” made by the “yarn over”. You’ll be working into the back loop of that “V”. This is called the 3rd loop.

Measurements:
Newborn: 5 1/2” x 5”
0-3 mos: 6” by 5”
3-6 mos: 6 1/2” by 6”
12-18 mos: 7” by 7”

Gauge:
Circle measures just over 4” across after round 9.

Additional Notes:
-ch-1 at beginning of row or round does not count as a stitch.
-When starting new row after fastening off, make sure right side of bonnet is facing.
