Pine Trees and Cones Scarf

Worked with knits, purls and basic lace stitches. Worked in two halves, bottom up, joined at the center back with either Kitchener grafting or 3 needle BO. Fast to work up with super bulky yarn on big needles.

Seed stitch panels and eyelet pine trees adorn each end of the piece and 28 huge pinecone bobbles gather in two groupings at the back of the neck /shoulders for an elegant statement from the back as well as the front.

Techniques/Stitches needed:
knit, purl, k2tog, p2tog, P1 f/b, SSK, YO, grafting (kitchener st.) or 3 needle bind off

Materials

3 - 4 hanks of Mirasol Ushya (114 yds/105 m. per) or about 370 yds of other Jumbo yarn @ 2 WPI

US 15 or 17 (10 or 12.5 mm) Needles
+ 1 extra needle same size if using 3 needle BO
