These darling Play Pal Dolls are knit in the round, using Magic Loop or double pointed needles. The legs, body, arms and head are knit on as you go along. Only the ears and hair are attached later. The underpants are knit on and there is an option to knit on socks. The larger doll (approx. 14” tall) is created using worsted wt. (Aran/10-ply) yarn and the smaller doll (approx. 12 ½” tall) is created using light wt. (DK wt.) yarn. There are directions for 5 hairstyles (curly, long wavy, short wavy, braids and eyelash), many items of removable clothing (pants, shorts, top, pullover, dress, jacket, and 2 kinds of shoe styles), and even a backpack with a tiny bunny for the doll to play with, included in this pattern. With their sweet faces and “little people bodies”, and all the hairstyle choices and clothing, it may even be possible to make a look-alike play pal for someone special.
