I have been a lover of Anne of Green Gables since I was a little girl. The story of finding a home, love, and a family touches my heart. I have read and reread the books until they fell apart and I have watched the Megan Follows/Jonathan Crombie Anne movies so often I can quote most of the dialogue.

Jennie of Owl About Yarn provided the two colourways of gorgeous yarn that embody Anne of Green Gables.

The Design – The Green Gables sections are a textured design that reminds me of the gables of Anne’s Green Gables home. The Carrots sections are cabled braids because of Gilbert calling Anne’s hair “carrots.”

Grab your yarn and your needles and please call me Anne with an E. Happy Knitting!

This shawl is knit flat.

The knitter needs to be comfortable with the following techniques: knit, purl, slipping stitches, yo, increases, and cables. Instructions for all these techniques are included in the pattern.

This pattern includes instructions in both written and chart forms.

I’d like to express my immense gratitude to the creators of Anne of Green Gables (both book & movies) for their entertaining work. This design would never have been possible without their inspiration.

Huge thanks to my amazing test knitters: Andrea (angeiship), Cristy (cristyray), Päivi (kaisukka), Rhonda (DuellingNeedles), & Tracy (tmangil)! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Pattern was tech edited by the phenomenal Rachel (porpoise)! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
