The Primeval Forest is a series of patterns. A cowl, a hat and now also socks. Pattern link

All three patterns are published in Signature Needle Arts webshop.

Knowledge in colorwork knitting and some sock knitting experience is needed to succeed with this pattern, but the instructions are detailed so anyone should be able to knit these socks.

These socks are knitted toe-up in colorwork following a chart. The pattern describes an afterthought heel, but of course it could be changed into a short row heel if you like.

Instructions how to make the sock fit a wider foot is included.

Yarn:
Any heavy fingering weight yarn could be used. At least two contrasting colors is required, but if you want you could fade both the background and the patterned stitches as the cowl and hat.

I have used my own hand dyed Knitritious’ Yarns MSock.
80% Superwash merino (or BFL) 20% Nylon 365m/100g

CC (darker): 50g /183m
MC (lighter): 50g/183m

For a faded background variety and size 38 I used:

CC (darkest): 40g /146m
MC1:20g/73m
MC2:20g/73m
MC3:20g/73m

This pattern is for personal use only. Don’t knit items for sale, don’t take photos of the charts, don’t reproduce, neither copy nor give this to a third part.
