The Psalter shawl is a semi-circular shawl with an intuitive slip-stitch section and a deep applied edge. The pattern is surprisingly easy to work, yet looks satisfyingly complex. Psalter is worked in two rich shades of DyeNinja Camel/Silk Fingering, a luxurious fine yarn with incredible drape.

The pattern is charted and written out. It includes a schematic and tips on the various elements.

Psalter is named for the popular medieval books containing psalms. The pattern is inspired by the densely decorated illuminated letters in the Luttrell Psalter, a 14th century manuscript. The colour palette takes its cue from the colours of ink and parchment used in the Luttrell Psalter.

Suitable for intermediate knitters.
