This comfy and stylish cowl features rows of mock cables with decorative eyelets. You get the look of intricate cable design without having to use a separate cable needle to hold your work in front as you knit. The design is also reversible so you get 2 cool looks from just one cowl. You can even use it as a very loose headband or wrap if you wish.

This cowl can be made with any bulky yarn. I find that it shows off the pattern best as it really makes the eyelets in the cables stand out and makes it a quick knit to boot.

You can also make it with any Worsted weight yarn with excellent yet slightly looser results.

The cowl is knit flat and sewn up at the end. The pattern features a diagram explaining the Mattress Stitch technique to demonstrate the best way to do so.
