This creature was inspired by a novelty song I learned in my childhood. It was a popular song written by Sheb Wooley about a ‘one-eyed, one-horned, flying purple people eater’ who comes to earth to join a rock and roll band!

The song hit the charts in 1958, and over the years there has been much speculation about whether the creature himself was purple, or whether the people he ate were purple.

For me, he is a purple creature… but you should feel free to let your imagination guide you on this one!
