This is a quick beginner-friendly pattern to make a baby hedgehog using only single crochets and increases/decreases. This tiny hedgehog can be easily made with left-over yarn from larger projects.

Materials:

• 2.5 mm crochet hook
• Yarn: Cantania Originals cotton in Taupe (00254) ~ 15 yds.
• Yarn: Cantania Originals cotton in Wine Red (00192) ~ 1 yd.
• 3.5 mm (or larger) crochet hook
• Yarn: Sensations Cello space yarn orange (121) ~ 15 yds.
• Toy stuffing
• 2x 4 mm black plastic safety eyes
• darning needle

Size and gauge:

• Finished size: ~10 cm long x 6 cm high
• Gauge: 12 sts. and 13 rows in 2” using sc. (not important—larger gauge = larger hedgehog!)
