RAFFIA HAT - Fedora- or Stetson-Style Sun Hat.

Classic shape for this always fashionable hat-style!
Or make it simple, with rounded top!
Adjust brim-size to Fedora- or Stetson-width.

Raffia, also called bast, are soft fibers collected from the inner bark of certain plants and trees.
For continuous lengths, modern raffia is industrial made with cellulose/wood pulp.
Raffia is light and strong, perfect for accessories, not as soft, heavy and flexible as normal yarn, and amazingly comfortable.

If you like to make the hat in other materials, it’s perfectly doable!
