Ribs Cables and Laces, Oh My!
This cabled (mock) and ribbed hat is knit flat, partially sewn up at the crown using the Mattress technique (explained in the pattern with diagrams) and then laced up on the side like a corset. This hat is sure to make you stand out (and keep warm)!
To make this hat you will need about 200 yards of Worsted weight yarn. I used Malabrigo Rios in the colorway Playa. You will also need a tapestry needle to sew the top part of the hat with and some yarn, cord or ribbon to lace the hat up with in the final step.
