The goddess Sága sits at the edge of the river of time, and every night she and Odin meet there. In the Poetic Edda, Odin tells of sitting with Sága merrily drinking from golden cups amid the murmur of cool waves. Her name is associated with the Old Norse word “to see,” and I like to imagine her with flowing hair and dress, kneeling by her river and dipping her hands into the past and future.
