The main stitch in this stole is a classic – “Dayflower” – which is very pretty and fairly simple to knit. The borders which are picked up and worked outwards include nupps which can easily be replaced by beads if you prefer. Do be sure to use a Stretchy Cast Off method as otherwise, it will be very difficult to establish the peaks. Again, the fringes may be omitted or given extra definition with beads.

Although not included in materials, a 3.25mm circular needle at least 80cm long is advised to accommodate the large number of stitches when working the borders.
